Regional market summaries

These summaries provide key tourism data for Victoria's 12 tourism regions. They include information on domestic and international visitor numbers and visitor expenditure from the National and International Visitor Surveys (year ending June 2017 results). Information is also provided on the economic impact of tourism to each region in terms of employment and Gross Regional Product (GRP) from the latest release of the Victorian Regional Tourism Satellite Accounts 2015-16.

The map below provides information on the sub-regions that make up Victoria's 12 tourism regions. These regions form the basis of data reported from the National Visitor Survey (NVS) and the International Visitor Survey (IVS), published by Tourism Research Australia every quarter.
