We’re here to support the hospitality industry during this challenging time. There is assistance available for Victorian hospitality businesses impacted by restrictions put in place to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund
The $251 million Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund program supports eligible liquor licensees with hospitality venues impacted by the restrictions put in place to slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Grants of up to $30,000 are available to eligible liquor licensees, based on venue location and patron capacity. Those eligible will receive an invitation to apply from Business Victoria.
Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package
The $58 million Outdoor Eating and Entertainment Package business grants help businesses adapt their operations to outdoor dining. Grants are available to licensed and unlicensed hospitality businesses, including restaurants, cafes, pubs/taverns, bars, clubs and takeaway food venues.
Eligible businesses can apply for a grant of $5,000. Funds can be used to pay for practical things like umbrellas, outdoor furniture, screens and other equipment. This will help move the indoor dining and cafe experiences Victorians love, outdoors.
CBD Small Hospitality Grant
The CBD Small Hospitality Grants are part of the Victorian Government’s $20 million commitment to help small and medium businesses in Melbourne’s CBD facing significant and sustained impacts to their trading environments.
The $10 million CBD Small Hospitality Grant stream of the Business Support Fund expansion program makes grants of $5000 or $15,000 available to eligible small and medium-sized food service hospitality businesses.
Hospitality Business Grant Program
Right now, in our efforts to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) our night-time economy is being significantly impacted. The Victorian Government has launched a $30 million fund specifically for the hardest hit hospitality businesses.
The Hospitality Business Grant Program provides $25,000 grants to eligible businesses that have a payroll of $3-10 million, plus an additional $5,000 for each additional premises, capped at $20,000; and a further $20,000 for those with premises located in the Melbourne CBD.
Night-time Economy Business Support Initiative
Our much-loved pubs, club and restaurants will also benefit from the Victorian Government’s Night-time Economy Business Support Initiative, which will provide commercial rental relief for licensed businesses impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) who aren't covered by the Commercial Tenancies Relief Scheme.
The support, made available through the Victorian Government’s Business Support Fund, is available to licensed venues across Victoria with an annual turnover of more than $50 million that operate as part of a group.
