Small Business Regulation Review
Cutting red tape and reducing regulatory burden for small business is a priority for the Victorian Government. To help achieve this, the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) is leading a review of regulation impacting small businesses.
The program is made up of a series of reviews focusing on regulatory issues for small businesses within specific sectors.
- The first sector reviewed was Victoria’s retail sector. An Action Statement was released in June 2018.
- The second sector reviewed was Victoria's visitor economy sector. An Action Statement was released in June 2018.
- The third sector reviewed was Victoria's construction sector and focused on the way regulators interact with small businesses in the Construction sector. An Action Statement was released in August 2019.
