Australian Industry and Defence Network-Victoria (AIDN-Vic)

Leadership for Manufacturing Excellence Project will develop and deliver a customised training program for small to medium companies in the Victorian defence sector, which will address leadership, innovation and lean methodology.
Location of Network: Ashburton

Composites Australia-Closed Moulding Network

The Leveraging Closed Moulding Processes for Productivity Gains in the Composite Industry Project will deliver a program of activities aimed to accelerate the uptake of closed - moulding technology in Victoria and to address the challenges of tooling for closed - moulding technology.

Location of Network: Richmond (businesses primarily based in Gippsland)

Frame & Truss Manufacturers Association of Australia (FTMA) – Prefab Floor Market Implementation Group

The Prefabricated Timber Ground Floor Systems for Constrained Sites-Market Implementation Project, will bring together quality frame and truss fabricators, nail plate manufacturers and timber suppliers to produce a new prefabricated timber ground floor system for constrained building sites.

Location of Network: Healesville (businesses regional and metro)

South East Melbourne Manufacturing Alliance (SEMMA)

The Future of Manufacturing Stage 2 - Engagement and Implementation Project, will deliver a range of activities to drive collaboration and engagement in the region, including access to 'Best in Class' companies and development of a collaborative model between industry and R&D facilities driven by business needs.

Location of Network: Dandenong

The Victorian eCommerce Food Network

The Victoria to China: Victorian eCommerce Food Network Project will support small to medium Victorian premium food manufacturers to export their products to China by providing collaborative access to Chinese markets using an innovative eCommerce platform.

Location of Network: Melbourne

Victorian Association of Microbreweries

The Back Victorian Microbrewers Project will develop a device and interactive online guide of the Association's Beer Lover's Guide to Victoria's Microbreweries and new marketing collateral to promote the Victorian microbrewery industry and increase productivity for member firms.

Location of Network: Woodend (businesses regional and metro)

Wood Products Victoria Industry R&D Group

The Repositioning of Victorian Hardwoods into Higher Value Added Appearance Grade Products Project, will investigate new products/technologies for the Victorian hardwoods industry and undertake collaborative activities to identify new strategies and opportunities for structural hardwood resources.

Location of Network: Melbourne (businesses primarily based in Gippsland)

East Gippsland Food Cluster

The Sustainable Workforce Solutions for the Agrifood Sector in Eastern Gippsland Project will investigate solutions for sustaining a regional agrifood workforce, including a feasibility study on seasonal workforce requirements, investigation of innovative and collaborative models for a shared service delivery around hiring and training and better support efficiency, effectiveness and compliance across a range of human resource management areas.

Location of Network: Bairnsdale

Caravan Trade and Industries Association of Victoria

The Caravan Association Manufacturing Portal Project aims to improve caravan manufacturer's productivity through the identification and implementation of lean processes and systems for a pilot group.   The project will also develop an online interactive education and training forum for all members, including experiences from the pilot, the latest production methods and technologies, courses, workshops, mentoring and the latest research to increase the quality, profitability, best practice and safety of caravan manufacturers.

Location of Network: West Melbourne

Module Manufacturing and Construction Network

The Best Practice and Integrated Solutions for Module Manufacturing and Construction Project will develop regulation for modular structures through standardisation of engineering practices and research outcomes. The project will also include a range of activities to increase Victorian SMEs skills and capacities; sharing best practices and developing case studies; make improvements in quality and productivity of manufacturing processes, transportation, building and structural design and durability and renewability of modular components.

Location of Network: Clayton

Federation of Automotive Products Manufacturers

The FAPM Solar Automotive Windows Project consists of six manufacturing businesses working collaboratively to develop and test a new product for the automotive industry, enabling them to take a tested niche innovative product to the export automotive market.

Bendigo Manufacturing Group

The Bendigo Manufacturing Business Systems Project will assist local manufacturers develop and implement validated and auditable business systems in fields such as quality assurance and environmental management.  The project will provide skilled resources through both one-on-one and collaborative workshops and the accreditations will assist the manufacturers to tender and compete for national and international projects previously outside their capabilities, thus enhancing their ability to develop their business and grow their supply chain.

Dairy Innovation Australia (DIAL) Small Dairy Network

The DIAL Small Dairy Network aims to extend DIAL's innovation capability and research and development services to smaller dairy manufacturers in Victoria to increase their ability for product innovation, access critical technical support to improve efficiency and resource use in manufacturing processes, improving their operations and growing their markets.

Location of Network: Werribee

Design Institute of Australia (DIA) Colourways

The Materian – Victorian Innovations in Materials project will undertake a range of activities to bring together Victorian manufacturers, designers, and researchers to support the development and new applications of advanced, innovative and sustainable materials produced in Victoria for the built environment and the industrial, recreational and marine sectors.

Location of Network: Melbourne

Open Innovation West

The Open Innovation West Network project aims to develop an industry program for manufacturers in Melbourne’s West to collaborate and innovate to increase efficiencies, reduce environmental impacts and improve productivity. The project will include accessing international expertise on successful open innovation and the development of twenty business cases.

Location of Network: Maribyrnong

Cleantech Innovations Geelong Alliance

The Cleantech Innovations Geelong Stage 2 project aims to increase productivity across network members and stimulate demand for clean technology goods and services through collaborative projects, development of local and export markets and developing skills and capabilities.

Chemicals and Plastics Manufacturing Innovation Network

The Chemicals and Plastics (C&P) Manufacturing Innovation Network project will create a framework for transformative growth in the Victorian C&P industry through range of opportunities for collaboration and innovation in training, research and demonstration activities.  The project will address critical issues in the industry and develop an agile and highly trained C&P workforce focussed on innovation.

Vic Mining Equipment and Technology Services (METS) Network Vic

The VicMETS Network will undertake a range of activities to improve the productivity and competitiveness of Victorian SMEs from traditional manufacturing industries by facilitating their exposure to and transitioning them to new products and service opportunities in the Australian and global mining industry.

Location of Network: Melbourne

Strategic Lean Improvement Consortium

The Strategic Lean Improvement Consortium Implementation Phase 2 project aims to improve the overall efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness of six network members through the sustainable implementation of high priority lean improvement projects using Lean Systems principles and practices.

Location of Network: Hawthorn

Portland Manufacturing Network

The Portland Manufacturing Network will undertake an audit of manufacturing capabilities in the region; develop a strategic plan; conduct targeted workshops and seminars; and identify collaborative opportunities for network members to increase their productivity and competitiveness.

Ballarat Innovation Industry Group

The Creating an Innovative and Vibrant Manufacturing Sector for the Future project will undertake a program of activities for local manufacturers to engage with specialist providers and research institutions to develop innovative projects to make their businesses more competitive and sustainable.

Location of Network: Ballarat
