You will need to meet the following criteria:
- have operations based in Victoria
- be financially viable
- have third party endorsement e.g. James Halliday 4 star, Major Royal Wine Shows or International Wine Show (gold, silver, bronze)
be currently exporting or demonstrate export readiness*
- be represented at the showcase by a company employee not a distributor.
*Export Ready – Preparing to Export: Have investigated that product that meets the Australian regulations for wine export; and Have participated in offshore engagement /marketing activities in the 2012-13 FY or the 2013-14 FY in one or more nominated markets.
*Export Ready – Currently Exporting: Have current export activity that equates to 10% of business activity in one or more of the nominated markets; and Have participated in offshore marketing activities in the 2012-13 FY or the 2013-14 FY in one or more nominated markets.
Please Note: The Department reserves the right to reject any application without being obliged to discuss the reasons for doing so. Any decision made by the Department will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Terms and Conditions
1. Approval of Applicants
1.1 An Applicant will be notified in writing by the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (the Department) if the Applicant has been approved by the Department to participate in the Inbound Trade Mission (an Approved Applicant).
1.2 Neither an Approved Applicant nor its employees or agents shall by reason of its participation in the Inbound Trade Mission be an agent of or in the service or employment of the State of Victoria.
2. Conduct and Cooperation of Attendees
2.1 All Inbound Trade Mission attendees must conduct themselves in a professional manner having regard to the spirit and intent of the Inbound Trade Mission.
2.2 All Inbound Trade Mission attendees must cooperate at all times with the Department in relation to their participation in the Inbound Trade Mission. If the Department is of the reasonable opinion that an Approved Applicant or Inbound Trade Mission attendee has not cooperated with the Department, or has demonstrated conduct below an expected level of professionalism, the Department reserves the right to exclude the Applicant from further participation in the Inbound Trade Mission.
3. Trade Mission Evaluation
3.1 Following their participation in the Inbound Trade Mission, all Approved Applicants must submit an evaluation form to the Department in a form provided by the Department.
3.2 If requested by the Department, all Mission Attendees agree to participate in a formal evaluation of the Inbound Trade Mission conducted by the Department or its agents.
4. Promotion and Acknowledgment
4.1 The Department reserves the right to publicise the benefits accruing to the Approved Applicant arising from the Inbound Trade Mission.
4.2 If requested by the Department, an Approved Applicant must acknowledge the support provided by the Department in any relevant publicity undertaken by the Approved Applicant.
5. Privacy Collection Notice
5.1 The Applicant consents to the collection and disclosure of their personal information and declares that they are authorised to provide the personal information of third parties where applicable.
5.2 The Applicant consents to the Department contacting the Applicant or nominee to facilitate networking opportunities with other businesses and for program evaluation purposes. The Applicant further consents to the disclosure of the personal information to other Inbound Trade Mission participants and businesses in the markets represented on the mission.
