The Victorian Government is bringing business leaders from around the world to Victoria to showcase the State’s diverse range of capabilities across key industries as part of the Victorian Invitation Program (VIP).
As the Victorian Government complements its successful outbound mission program and builds upon existing opportunities with an expanded inbound mission program, the VIP will be the first of many large-scale inbound missions this year bringing more international buyers, investors and influential figures to Victoria.
The VIP will deliver opportunities for more Victorian SMEs and regional companies to meet and develop business relationships with the international business community across multiple sectors, including medical technology and pharmaceuticals, professional services, international education, new energy technology, food and fibre processing and transport, defence and construction technology.
Delivering a cross-sectoral program will create business opportunities across industry, encouraging innovation and introducing international buyers and investors to Victoria’s broad range of capabilities.
Visiting buyers and investors from existing and high growth markets from across the world will arrive in Victoria to learn about Victorian capabilities and build the foundations for new trade and investment partnerships including:
o pursue new contracts, develop exports and meet with existing customers
o showcase Victorian goods, services and technology to international business leaders
o identify and seek to reduce the legal and regulatory barriers confronting Victorian industries in growing exports.
