Description of the training or event
In 2015 the Council of Textile and Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA) is preparing, mentoring and leading a delegation to Hong Kong to forge new export opportunities.
TFIA’s Common Threads project is committed to developing sustainable export channels for Australian brands into Hong Kong. Support for this program is underpinned by funding from Austrade as part of the Asian Business Engagement Plan.
This innovative program of education and mentoring sessions, networking events, specific market training and online presentations will culminate in a capabilities mission to Hong Kong in August 2015.
The program aims to equip suitable businesses with the knowledge, tools and connections they need to create global business by accessing new markets in Asia, focusing on Hong Kong.

The Hong Kong Capability Mission
The delegation will visit Hong Kong from Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August. This week will comprise of delegates pitching to media, PR and buyers, showcasing their products and include networking activities with local fashion and textile businesses.
More information on the Hong Kong Capability Mission will be available soon.
For those not in Sydney and Melbourne the course materials will also be available online with applicants sought for the trade mission Australia-wide. Participants will need to be prepared to travel to Sydney or Melbourne at their own cost to participate in the Pitch Process.
