Getting food to market: Making the most of labels

Summary

Making sure you get your label right is an easy way to prevent unnecessary expense and associated brand damage. Given that incorrect labeling and undeclared allergens are among the major causes of packaged food recalls (an event that frequently costs well over $100,000 and, at worst, lives) accurate labeling makes good business sense. Includes opportunities for networking and a review of participants' labels to give you practical insights into the concepts discussed. Light refreshments will be served.

Details

Whether you sell direct to the customer or through a large retailer, getting your label right is not only a great way to promote your product, it's also basic to compliance. This workshop looks at both. Collect useful tips on common labeling errors, the risks that apply and inform yourself about recent changes to country of origin labeling and health star ratings. Find out from expert presenters ways you can safely promote the positive attributes of your product in a manner that is neither false nor misleading.
