Activities in Date Order

When planning and hosting your event(s), be sure to put these dates in your diary. Please be aware that these dates are indicative of our planning process and may change.

Start of February

Host registrations and event applications open for the year's Festival Program. You must be a registered Festival Event Host before you can submit your proposed event/s.

2 March

Event application must be lodged through the Small Business Victoria Event Portal before midnight 2 March to be considered for the Festival Program.

24 March

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application to host an event in the Festival. Successful event hosts will be provided with instructions on next steps. 

19 April

All final event information to be submitted to the Small Business Victoria Event Portal, including a confirmed event description, venue and booking information.

11 May

Final date to make any changes to your event information before publishing.

1 June

Events published on the Small Business Festival Victoria website and tickets go on sale. 

Mid - late June

Hosts marketing packs and materials distributed.

23 June

Festival Program distribution commences.  

1 July

Small Business Festival Victoria Advertising and Marketing campaign begins.

1 - 31 August

Event hosts distribute mandatory materials to attendees at each event.

Return completed Attendee Surveys and Event Attendance Form to Small Business Festival Victoria within 7 days of completion of the event.

2 September

Event hosts complete the online Festival evaluation survey.

November

Small Business Festival Victoria Evaluation Report is available.
