Workforce Participation

A strategic priority of Workforce Victoria, the Government's workforce participation agenda seeks to provide Victorian industries, regions and employers access to a skilled and flexible workforce.

Workforce participation programs strengthen local industries and communities by increasing the pool of skilled and available workers, particularly by assisting people facing significant barriers to employment.

Internationally, through the Skilled and Business Migration Program, Victoria is promoted to skilled professionals, tradespeople, business owners and investors. The program highlights the State as a great place to live and work as well as ongoing workforce needs in metropolitan and regional areas which cannot be met.

Minister for Skills and Workforce Participation Jacinta Allan oversees Workforce Victoria's Workforce Participation and Skilled and Business Migration programs.
