The Opening Doors to Export Plan refocuses the Victorian Government's existing programs and commits an additional $11 million to help new and existing Victorian companies in their export ventures.
The plan is based around four key strategies:
Summarises various programs designed for potential and new exporters to increase their export knowledge, including the Export Communication Network, the Export Networks program, the Grow Your Business program, the First Step Exporter and the TradeStart program.
Summarises various programs designed for exporters to consolidate their export businesses, including the Next Step Exporter, the Access America and Access China program, the Collaborative Export Marketing program and services provided by the Victorian Government Business Offices.
Summarises various programs designed to expose exporters to new markets, including trade fairs, inbound and outbound trade missions, industry capability missions, Governor of Victoria Export Awards and the Showcasing Victoria initiative.
Explains how the delivery of export programs will be improved by the more centralised approach of the Export Unit, which links local government, industry associations and chambers of commerce.
