The New Investment Partnerships Program (NIPP), funded through the Provincial Victoria Growth Fund, is a $3 million initiative to leverage new investment from major infrastructure projects.
This Program focuses on maximising development and other new investment opportunities from two large scale public infrastructure projects in Provincial Victoria:
Enhanced rail services – to capture opportunities as a result of improved passenger services and possible freight connections, the development of Transit Cities and the rollout of VicTrack’s fibre optic broadband network.
The Wimmera Mallee pipeline – to capture business and service opportunities during the construction phase of the project. The Program will also seek to capture post construction opportunities resulting from an increased security of water supply and diversification into higher value enterprises.
The NIPP will assist the identification and realisation of regional development opportunities resulting from the Government’s major investment in infrastructure and support the development of projects that contribute to the economic and social growth of regional communities.
