Provincial Victoria Sponsorship Program for Key Events

Project aim

The objectives of the Provincial Victoria Key Events Program are:

• to be a catalyst for new events that contribute to economic development and growth in Provincial Victoria
• to support existing key regional events that contribute to sustainable economic development and growth in Provincial Victoria
• to assist in linking communities with potential private sponsors for local events

Nature of assistance

Funding is on a $ for $ basis. Grants will generally be up to a maximum of $40,000 per event per annum, but not exceeding $60,000 in total over two years or the life of the event.

Eligibility criteria

Victoria’s 48 provincial councils, incorporated community and business groups are eligible to apply for event funding under the Provincial Victoria Key Events Program. Community and business groups are encouraged to work with their local councils in developing projects and applications. Key Regional Events must be endorsed by local council and listed in the Councils published event calendar.
