The Victorian and NSW Governments are inviting proposals for a collaborative program of research undertaken in Victoria and NSW which is fully compliant with Australia's rigorous regulatory framework and will improve the sustainability of techniques, technical expertise and advance stem cell research in Victoria and NSW. The Stem Cell Research Grant Program is designed to expand stem cell research in NSW and Victoria and to promote important and potentially beneficial research that may have a profound effect on serious and/or life threatening human.
Under the Stem Cell Research Grant Program, the total funding support for direct research costs will be limited to AUS $1,000,000 over 2 years. A maximum of $500,000 in funding support is available to institutions in each State. Funding will be provided to administering organisations based in NSW and Victoria.
Open to all publicly funded research organisations in New South Wales and/or Victoria, Cooperative Research Centres or businesses in formal partnership with publicly funded organisations. All applicants must have access to appropriate facilities for undertaking stem cell research that comply with all relevant State and Commonwealth legislation.
